Thank you for visiting Friends of Cats and Dogs Foundation! FCDF is an all-volunteer organization serving the Birmingham, Alabama area with our programs available to the community. Our mission is to stop pet overpopulation through our Low Cost Spay/Neuter Program and free Spay / Neuter Clinics. 

We are trying desperately to educate the Birmingham community about the importance of spaying and neutering their pets along with the need for humane treatment of animals. FCDF has a "virtual kennel". WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, but have taken the initiative of creating an Adoption Gallery to help the many homeless animals in Birmingham find homes. We allow the community and other animal welfare organizations to use our website as a tool to promote the availability of the cats and dogs in their care. 
 

Through our website, we have helped many people and organizations find great new homes for thousands of animals.

Please note: BAARC and Blair are independent adoption facilities and are not affiliated with FCDF. They have animals for adoption at their locations, but they do not house most of the animals seen on this web site. If you are interested in a pet on this web site, please use the contact listed on the animal that you are interested in.
