BIRMINGHAM, AL) In this tough economy, many people have been forced to surrender their pets to shelters as they cannot afford to care for them. While owning a pet involves a financial obligation of proper nutrition and health care, the benefits of pet ownership are so great to both owner and animal, that FCDF obtained a donation of 6 TONS of dog and cat food and supplies to distribute to people in the Greater Birmingham Area. One of the many services FCDF provides is a pet food deployment program. FCDF takes donated food, transports and distributes to people in the Greater Birmingham Area who have pets and need assistance.
