Looking for a puppy who will never really grow up? Tansy might be your girl. The shelter listed this little doll as a rat rat terrier/Chihuahua mix, but she might very well be a purebred rattie. She was picked up as a stray with her mom Raisa (who is also available for adoption and in a foster home in Crossville). They were so disappointed when their family came to the shelter but refused to bail them out. At only 8 months old and 10,5 pounds, Tansy is just the right size to wiggle her way into your home and heart. She is looking for love and attention. a lap to cuddle in and someone willing to accept all the love she has to give. Tansy has been spayed, is up to date on immunizations and has tested negative for heartworms and is on heartworm prevention--readying her for the family of her dreams. She is doing very well with her housetraining and uses a doggy door or piddle pads and is also crate trained . Tansy will not be placed in a home with children under the age of 12 or with a dog weighing more than 25 pounds. Tansy’s adoption donation is only $100, and she is being fostered in Birmingham, Alabama. We do approve out of state adoptions, but the adopter must be willing to drive to the foster home to “fetch” the new family member. We do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting this sweet baby, the first step is to submit an APPLICATION.
We do not place any dog in a home with "invisible" or underground fencing.
