Mick
Either poor Mick lost his way and couldn't find his way home again or his former cruel owner dropped him off in Sipsey Swamp to starve to death!
Luckily for Mick, being an animal rescuer, I found him and took him in here at Red Gate Farm. His estimated age at that time was approximately 9 months old according to my vet. Sadly, due to the large number of rescue animals I have in residence (29), Mick has been kept in a kennel situation (with daily play yard privileges) while awaiting his forever home and owner for almost 2 years now!
Poor Mick had a recent potential adopter who has had second thoughts so we're both a bit disappointed but you can't get a good dog down (see his pic, just look at that face!).
Mick is a little bit shy to start but warms right up and loves his human caretakers attention so it's not too late for Mick to bond with someone new. Mick prefers human companionship to other dogs company so would do well in a one dog home where I am sure he would totally idolize a new, loving attentive owner. Mick's smart too! He learned to sit and shake in less than 5 minutes flat. He leashes well and rides unrestrained.
*Unfortunately, being kept in a kennel situation, it is unknown if Mick is housetrained but I am sure he'd be more than willing to learn and happy to please his owner!*
Mick is a liver & white (possible) Aussie/border Collie mix weighing 40-45 pounds. He is up to date on vacs/worming, is heartworm negative and on HW preventative. He is scheduled for neuter/teeth cleaning/post-op bloodwork and urinalysis tomorrow so he'll soon be ready to go to a new home!
Adopt fee, application, vet/3 references and homecheck for proper containment is required.
